Zwan is a prototype made for a contest held by the Jheronimus Bosch 500 Foundation. The mission: develop a game about the art of the great Dutch painter. First of all, we wrote a pitch describing what we were planning to create. The pitch has been selected to be developed into a first prototype version. This prototype is now in the final stages of the contest, along with other 5 awesome takes on the topic.
The game we imagined is an interactive exploration experience where you navigate a slowly decaying world and discover the works of Jheronimus Bosch hidden into it. The main idea is to give life to the works of Bosch, while enacting a metaphor of pain and madness. The more pain the player inflicts to themselves, the more dangerous and wicked the world becomes.
